[DIS]ORDER - Brains in Resonance (Original Soundtrack) is the latest sonic work by Stefan ZMK as part of HipSick, created for the interdisciplinary installation and live performance [DIS]ORDER.Inspired by the theme of neurodiversity and how we deal with sensitivity, [DIS]ORDER challenges systems built around efficiency, conformity and speed. The soundtrack mirrors this exploration through shifting layers of sound that are at times confrontational, intimate, disorienting and comforting.The tracks move between fragile textures, immersive atmospheres, distorted rhythms and moments of stillness. The soundtrack reflects a reality where different ways of perceiving, processing and experiencing the world coexist. Written in 432 hertz, the album also deviates from the mainstream tuning method, and explores an alternative approach to sound design.Featuring the full sequence from the installation including the vocal from “The System” and additional instrumental versions, [DIS]ORDER - Brains in Resonance offers an experience that extends beyond the physical work.
