The prestigious Cajun Classic tournament kicked off yesterday in Louisiana, America and South Africa’s number 1 ranked disabled tennis player Lucas Sithole has been pitted against Chile’s Pablo Araya (ranked 22nd in the world). Now ranked 6th in the world, Sithole heads into the game this evening on the back of good showing at the Georgia Open where he lost in the final 62-64 to number 2 ranked David Wagner on Sunday. Sithole, who was eliminated in straight sets by Japanese’ Mitsuteru Moroishi in the quarter-finals at last year’s Cajun Classic and lost in the semi-final round in the doubles says he is well prepared for this year’s edition. Sithole is the only SA representative in the top-flight super-series in the Cajun Classic tournament which will run until the 24th of March 2019. The tournament is one of six top wheelchair tennis events on the wheelchair tennis calendar and has attracted eight of the world's top-10 quad players.
