Boxing South Africa (BSA) is the latest sports federation to express its reservations about the draft of the proposed sports broadcasting regulations by the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA). BSA on Wednesday (20 February 2019) held a promoters’ workshop at its offices in Pretoria where one of the items on the agenda was this draft of ICASA regulations. Sporting codes like football, cricket and rugby have already expressed their concerns on how these proposed regulations are going to impact on their revenue streams. BSA Chairperson Dr Peter Ngatane says the exclusivity that is proposed by these regulations is going of cause problems.
