Reigning World Boxing Organization (WBO) bantamweight champion Zolani “Last Born” Tete’s second title defence, which was going to be against Argentine boxer Omar Narvaez has been postponed until a yet-to-be confirmed date in April. The postponement of the fight, which was scheduled for the 10th of next month at the Copper Box Arena, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Hackney Wick in London, follows after Tete picked up calf muscle and Achilles tendon injuries while preparing for the Narvaez duel at the beach in East London. Doctors have since advised Tete to stay away from training until the end of this month. Tete’s manager Mlandeli Tengimfene has more on the champion’s injury.
