Reigning World Boxing Organisation (WBO) bantamweight champion Zolani “Last Born” Tete has decided against training in Johannesburg ahead of his second defence of the title against Omar Narvaez next month. Normally, Tete, who faces the Argentine in London on Saturday, 10 February, completes his preparations in Johannesburg before jetting out of the country after having started in East London. However, Tete will, this time around, remain in East London until the day of departure for London. The Mdantsane-born Tete believes that East London-based boxers are capable of giving him good sparring sessions ahead of the Narvaez fight. The 29-year-old Tete goes into the Narvaez clash following his sensational 11 seconds stoppage of compatriot Siboniso Gonya in Belfast, Northern Ireland, in November last year
