Boxing South Africa (BSA) celebrated Youth Month with a difference as the organisation hosted a two-day seminar at Buffalo Park in East London. According to BSA chief executive officer (CEO) Tsholofelo Lejaka, the aim of the seminar, which started yesterday and ends today, is to empower boxers. Lejaka adds that boxers are faced with a lot of challenges, especially when it comes to substance abuse. As recent as this week, former SA featherweight and junior-lightweight champion Aphiwe Mboyiya was busted by the South African Institute For Drug-Free Sport (SAIDS) after banned substances, furosemide and hydrochlorothiazide, were found in his urine sample, which was taken following his win over Sibusiso Zinganga in April this year.
