The remarkable story of Luvo Manyonga will remain a talking point in South Africa for months to come after he bounced back to win a silver medal at the Rio Olympics last night in the long jump. Going into the last round, Manyonga was in a gold medal position after a leap of 8.37m, his personal best. But American Jeff Henderson bettered that by a tiny one centimeter to give SA its sixth Rio Olympic medal and fifth silver. But the story will go back to how Manyonga recovered from being banned for two years after testing positive for methamphetamine (Tik) in 2011 and bounced back to win a silver medal in his first Olympics.
