Blue Bulls coach Pine Pienaar has made four changes to his team to play against the Sharks on Saturday in Durban with Akona Ndungane returning after a lengthy injury lay-off while former SA under-20 star flyhalf Handre Pollard will make his Currie Cup debut. Pollard will start in place of the injured Tony Jantjies while Waylon Murray will make his first start for the Bulls at outside centre with Ulrich Beyers moving to the inside in place of the injured Francois Venter. Another change in the team sees prop Frik Kirsten return to the side and start ahead of Werner Kruger while Pienaar has brought in David Bullbring on the bench in place of Wilhelm Steenkamp. Pienaar said that it will be a great opportunity for Pollard to show that he can make the step into senior rugby……

Pienaar says that the inclusion of Ndungane and Kirsten will add a lot of experience into a team and that Ndungane will add a calm head to a young and inexperienced backline…….

Pienaar believes that his team have an opportunity to right the wrongs of their last performance which was a 62-23 loss against the Golden Lions last Saturday. Pienaar says it will be important for the whole team to play as a unit against the Sharks in Durban……

At the same time Pienaar said that he is not too worried about where his team lies on the Currie Cup log. The Bulls are at the bottom of the log after their massive loss to the Lions but a win against the Sharks could easily elevate them back to the top. Pienaar says his team is only focusing on their game against the Sharks and not the log……
