The Postbank says it is close to finding a solution to ensure that social grant beneficiaries who are bedridden are able to acquire a Postbank card. This, as the bank is administrating the process of grant beneficiaries migrating from a SASSA gold card to Postbank black cards. Earlier this month, Postbank officials appeared before Parliament's Portfolio Committee on Social Development to give an update on the migration process. In previous weeks, grant beneficiaries waited in extremely long queues, often leaving without being assisted. Postbank had previously acknowledged to the committee that it did not have the capacity to deal with the influx of people.
