The Western Cape Social Development Committee today held a meeting to discuss the latest SASSA developments. This comes after more than 53 thousand disability grants have lapsed in the province.This caused thousands disability grant recipients to flock to the SASSA offices to re-apply as they were told that they need to apply in person. This caused major concerns regarding the long queues and covid 19 as social distancing was not observed.
