Structural engineers are expected to brief the Department of Education on their assessment following the collapse of a walkway at Hoƫrskool Driehoek in Vanderbijlpark. A large cement walkway at the school caved in on Friday, killing three teenagers instantly and leaving more than 20 injured. Another pupil died in hospital on Saturday. The Department's Spokesperson Steve Mabona spoke to Leeanne Mannes on Morning live this morning and said engineers visited the school on Sunday to determine which areas are safe to use in terms of the National Building Regulations and Building Standards Act.
