Coal supply challenges at Eskom could potentially be 'as serious, if not worse' than those experienced before the load shedding of 2008. Reports suggest that 7 of Eskom's power stations don't have adequate coal supply at the moment. The power utility says it's doing its best to avoid load shedding and insists the situation is not an emergency as yet.
