The School Governing Body at Eldorado Secondary School, south of Johannesburg has threatened a lockdown of the school if Gauteng Education MEC, Panyaza Lesufi, suspends the school's principal. This follows weeks of disruptions to learning and teaching as teachers aligned to SADTU have abandoned their posts since late last year. Its alleged the teachers staged a walk-out after the SGB of the school allegedly refused to let SADTU continue to hold unauthorised union meetings on school premises without its permission.
