Angry residents of Mganduweni near White River in Mpumalanga have marched to the Masoyi police station in protest against what they call the slow pace with which police attend to child murder and mutilation cases. The residents earlier blockaded roads in a protest that has been sparked by the recent murder and mutilation of six-year-old Bontle Mashiyane. Bontle was found in a ditch last week with parts of her body missing, after she had been missing for nearly three weeks. Yesterday, the case against three suspects accused of her murder, was postponed to the 24th of June in the Kabokweni Magistrate's Court. Two more people were taken in for question.
