L’wei started writing songs at college level and has collaborated with many South African artists both as a writer and session guitarist. He has previously worked with the likes of Shota Mdabe, Dermo from Shana, Hassan Green (US artist), Denim, Bantu Soul, Mabongi Mabaso and Worship House, amongst others. L'wei is also a professional jingle writer for TV and radio, a film music writer, composer and a session musician.
