Did you know that Afghan & Rwandan Women Entrepreneurs, have been in the United States taking entrepreneurial classes as part of the Peace Through Business Program? Two of these women are Fakhria Ibrahimi from Afghanistan and Joan Mazimhaka from Rwanda. We will hear about their journey as business owners and women leaders in their respective countries as well as what they’re leaning during the Business Bootcamp and what they plan to take back to their country.The Peace Through Business Program is part of The Institute for Economic Empowerment (IEEW) designed to educate women whose homelands have been devastated by war, genocide, and poverty. The program focuses on education, mentorship and coaching women who seek entrepreneurial skills to start and grow a business. Also, Sonu Rata, an IEEW board member and business owner, will discuss how being a mentor to these women is paying it forward
