At least 300 people have been displaced and 50 others left injured after a tornado hit the Vaal Marina area in Midvaal, Gauteng yesterday causing extensive damage. Homes and other buildings were destroyed. Two help centres have been set-up by the Midvaal municipality to assist those who have lost everything. Rebuilding and Clean-up operations are currently underway. Stephen Kirker spoke to Dr Elias Sithole, the Head of the Disaster Management Centre in Gauteng.
