A Limpopo man will tonight embark on a 100 km walk from Polokwane to Tzaneen to highlight the plight of fathers who are denied access to their children. Nyiko will start his journey at 10pm tonight and he expects to reach Tzaneen on Saturday afternoon. He says this initiative was inspired by his own personal experiences, of being denied access to his four year old son for almost two years now by his former wife. We spoke to Nyiko whose surname we will not reveal in order to protect his minor son as well as Chief Family Advocate Petunia Seabi-Mathope.
