The South African Reserve Bank has launched the Monetary Policy Committee Schools Challenge in Pretoria. Learners will be given an opportunity to become central bank governors for a few months setting policy and analysing markets. This programme is targeting learners who are studying Mathematics and Economics. It was first tested in Gauteng but will now be opened to schools nationwide.
