The International Criminal Court (ICC) is expected to make a ruling this afternoon on whether South Africa violated the Roman statue when it failed to arrest Sudanese president Omar Al-Bashir when he came to the coutry two years ago. Al-Bashir was here at the invitation of the African Union. South Africa argued that he was protected according to laws governing the immunity of leaders attending international events on government business. The country has since announced that it has started a process of withdrawal from the ICC, which it says targets mostly Africans and not other world leaders. For a perspective on this we are joined on the line by the Executive Director at the Southern African Litigation Centre Kaajal Ramjathan-Keogh
