A move to make daylight saving time permanent is gaining momentum once again as the U.S. Senate passed a measure this month to make it permanent across the country. That’s the spring’s new time schedule, when most of us lose an hour of sleep. But research shows that the abrupt change causes a surge in fatal car accidents, heart attacks and strokes.
