Today, we feature Dan Moyane who was born in Soweto South West of Johannesburg in South Africa. He schooled in the 1960’s and1970’s. He started his broadcast radio journalism in radio Mozambique in 1980. From 1985 to 1991, he was Deputy Head of the station’s English external service. Dan was also a freelance journalist for BBC World Service and a stringer for the French news Agency AFP. In 1991he returned to South Africa where he joined Johannesburg based talk radio 702, as one of its news desk Editors, and was promoted to the position of Assistant News Editor in 1993. From 1995 to 1997, Dan co-presented 702’s prime time morning breakfast show. In 1914 Attended successfully completed the management Advancement Programme (MAP) at Wits University’s graduate school of Administration. Part 2, is mostly about Mandela and their many meetings from Maputo and back home to South Africa. He touched on the plane that killed Samora Marchel and how he survived.
