The Genetics Society is proud to welcome Dr Dan Fordham as a member of the committee as a representative of Corporate Genetics and Biotechnology, beginning his four-year term in January 2024.
Biography
Dr. Dan Fordham is a seasoned professional in the field of biosensor design and strategic product management. He earned his Ph.D. in Biosensor Design in 2010, marking the beginning of a remarkable journey in the scientific and commercial realms.
Dan commenced his career at Oxford Nanopore Technologies Ltd, where he became an integral part of the Applications Team. Over the course of eight years, he played a pivotal role in the development of early kits and applications that contributed significantly to the company’s success. Recognizing his adeptness in both technical and commercial domains, Dan transitioned into a market development role, focusing on consortia and large cohort projects. This phase of his career showcased his ability to bridge the gap between intricate technicalities and market demands. Building upon his extensive experience, Dan presently serves as the Director of Strategic Product Management. In this capacity, he leverages his deep technical knowledge to drive commercial projects forward.
