Dion uses the metaphor of: ‘God’s facecloth’ This is the notion that God seeks us out to save us from being lost, but ALSO wants to ‘seek’ out every place where our ‘lostness’ has left a mark, or a stain, or a wound, and save that as well. Luke 19.10, "For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost."

It is a lot like a parent who takes a facecloth and cleans the face of their their child, but then also goes everywhere that the child has been and cleans everything that the little chocolate covered hands have touched. Salvation is a bit like that! God restores us, and in doing so, also restores our world!
