Bio: The Brazilian artist Mariana Herzer established herself as an electronic music producer at the age of 16, being mainly self-taught and using digital computer synthesizing as her favourite musical approach.
At the age of 21, Mari developed her live PA and started playing in warehouse parties which are held at venues in neighbourhoods forgotten by the real estate and São Paulo’s government.
Nowadays she is a resident artist of Mamba Negra party, which holds monthly parties in Brazil. Arising from the chaotic and diverse culture of the capital of São Paulo, the events are an escape for LGBT, women and minorities, creating a safe artistic space for those in the downtown of the city.
Mari's live PA and DJ sets are focused in the sounds of Deep Techno, Ambient and IDM, with acidic timbres and surrounded by contemplative soundscapes. She has a vinyl release scheduled for August, which will be an EP with 4 techno tracks, released by London based label Werkstraat records.
