On Saturday, 10 October, a group of 18 ordinary South Africans set off on an extraordinary adventure: They will run 1,500km from Johannesburg to Cape Town to raise funds for disadvantaged learners.
Their 24-hour relay run will take them from Johannesburg, and through Kroonstad, Bloemfontein, Colesberg, Victoria West, Sutherland and Ceres, before reaching Cape Town on 17 October. Then, prove how truly MAD they are, they will participate in the Cape Town Virtual Half Marathon on 18 October.
This adventure-for-a-cause is called MAD2Run and is founded on the belief that each person is called to be an active citizen and “make a difference” wherever they are. The only requirement is a big heart and a willingness to be a little MAD
