On For Your Information this week, we informed listeners of a special blood drive sponsored by Cleveland First Responders, the Police and Fire departments, on July 27. After that I brought on my guest, Christine Shippy, a pastor with Covenant of Christ International Ministerial Outreach which is a non-profit organization providing goods and services to those in need in the Greater Cleveland Area. She told listeners: the organization provides items at no charge to the needy; their service center which provides those in need with guidance in dealing with governmental “red tape;” their free clinic which provides many medical services from blood work, to general physicals, to pregnancy tests, even mental health treatment; and their work as a halfway house. Shippy also gave the organization’s contact information and its physical location, and explained what it mission is and the services it provides.
