Guest was Jim Ray, Ph.D., head of Neuroscience at MD Anderson. We talked about the work being done to find a cure for Alzheimer’s disease through the Neurodegeneration Consortium (NDC) of MD Anderson, Baylor College of Medicine and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The NDC is the first collaboration of three such prominent research groups seeking a cure. And, the first time a cancer center of MD Anderson’s stature is involved in such a study. It was established through a $25 million donation to MD Anderson from the Belfer Family Foundation.
