The resurrection of Jesus from his grave is the most vital and pivotal point of the whole gospel event. Without the resurrection we could have a saviour who died for our sins. But we wouldn’t have the same certainty without Jesus’ resurrection. The resurrection secures this divine transaction. Taking Jesus from paying the price of sin to overcoming sin and death by his defeat of the grave.

The apostle Paul knew that the resurrection was critical. He wrote strongly to those in Corinth who disputed that the resurrection took place.
