Seriously. As if it were not obvious enough to anybody with a brain that Hollywood has disconnected itself from America this happened at the Oscars tonight. (Uncensored version if you really must.) Not going to mention names because people this self-indulgent do not deserve publicity. For the record, did not watch the show – haven’t in years because it is a bunch of incredibly selfish people patting themselves on the back. I know way too many people way too good at their jobs that go an entire career without any awards, congratulations, or anything other than a “Don’t let the door hit you in the backside on your way out” when they retire to care that much about other people that while they may be good at their jobs get awards like this solely by virtue of access to media.

For years now we have been subjected to lectures about their personal political agendas as if they were somehow more intelligent or well informed than the rest of us. If I don’t care about that, and I most sincerely don’t, I sure don’t care about their petty personal grievances with one another.

One thing you can be very sure of – I will never pay my own money to watch a movie, or any other form of entertainment, that features the individuals involved in this disaster ever again.
