The host seems desperate to find something that Congress can do about school shootings.  Fully understandable given the recent birth of two grandchildren and three already hanging around.  He took calls most of the Tuesday show looking for ideas.  One call in particular produced a fascinating exchange.  I do not recall the precise caller’s name, but his response to the host’s proposals was, to paraphrase, “There is no reasonable proposal that ‘they’ will not turn into a nightmare.”  That resonated with me – deeply.
