California’s ~~Dungeon Master~~, er Governor Gavin Newsom tested positive for Covid over the weekend (the irony is so rich), but not before releasing his “budget proposal.”  The scare quotes are mandated by the sheer fantastical nature of the thing.  It seems clearly to have been drafted by the fantasy storytellers of Hollywood.  Also indicated by the fact that it was dropped on the Friday before a three-day weekend.  We’ll use the LATimes reporting and start here:
