Sometimes you are reading along in a book and you come to a paragraph so perfectly pithy, precise and true that it takes your breath away. That happened to me yesterday reading Henry Kissinger’s Leadership: Six Studies in World Strategy. Specifically in his chapter on Nixon, he concludes the discussion of the Vietnam War this way:
