And so, the inescapable Anthony Fauci is retiring this December.  I have little doubt this is forced.  Fauci has made way too many comments about his indispensability (interview with the host about a year ago.) talked about retiring in “a couple of years” (just a month ago,) and this announcement is so close to the heels of the Walensky memo, that one must suspect that there has been enormous pressure being applied to Fauci to get gone.  In point of fact, I would conjecture that last month’s comments were an attempt on Fauci’s part to build public support to forestall this move.  And so, while publicly Anthony Fauci is retiring, and being permitted to sneak in a final bow, I’m about 98% sure the man is being fired.
