Here is a really precious way to start a new day: it draws on the long monastic tradition of a specially appointed brother or sister waking each member of the community with a call to greet the morning in the name of the Lord. All of us could find this really helpful too!
The beautiful music is by Thoinot Arbeau, the anagrammatic name of the French cleric Jean Tabouret. It is taken from his Orchésographie, and dates from the late sixteenth century.
