here and gone

here, humans built a world, lived in concord, dreaming daring dreams. believing in the words of men with wisdom’s glimmer they sought to sublimate the power of good and beat their ploughshares into swords.

set on this course, they channeled down dark minds, installed them in Palladian halls and granted them the powers of gods. in mass destruction’s questing, these tricksters broke apart their sacred pledges until all men were simply dead and gone.
