As the threat of a “ No Deal” Brexit lingers, we review

on farming..

support of milk recording for dairy farmers not using

the system..

The 37th. National Dairy Show is taking place

at the Green Glens Arena, Millstreet Town on

Saturday 0ctober 19th ( opening 9am). Mr. John Kirby,

Editor John O’Connor about some of the outstanding

attractions on offer to visitors to the 2019 Show,

the 37th successive National Dairy Show to be held

at the world-famous Green Glens Arena,

just outside Millstreet Town.

Mr.Michael Mc Carthy, Tillage Advisor, with the

Teagasc Office in Mallow has reminders about some

upcoming events on Monday morning 14th. October.

Michael deals also with winter planting of cereal crops,

and the war of attrition against aphids as chemical

weapons are removed from the tillage farmers arsenal,

for environmental reasons.

Several IFA meetings are planned for Cork City and county

in coming days..

The deadline for slurry spreading is Tuesday 15th. October,

unless Minister Creed extends the closing date.
