Christians have always struggled with the tension between rigorously following the law or, on the other hand, completely disregarding the law. St. Paul lets us know there is nothing in the law that we can do that will justify us before God. At the same time, we are called to do works of mercy. Take time and read the first chapters of Revelation and see what our Lord praises and rebukes.
