The Allwinner F1Cx00S series of chips are famous for being "$2 linux-on-a-chip" with DRAM built in - all you need is some passives, a crystal, and SPI NOR flash memory to have a miniature booting linux board. It's not very fast, and it's not very powerful but maybe we could run minimal python scripts on it? we've never used this chip but we used to noodle with openwrt and this seems kinda similar. we couldn't find any open hardware designs so we're drafting up the schematic - hopefully get all the wiring for this 88 pin QFN right :) anyone use this chip before?
