we're absolutely 😍 over maceffects' clear cases. since we've got our shugart 34 pin floppy hacking well figured out (time for hardware spins!) we can now turn our attention to the Apple Disk ][ which is sort of a 'gutted' shugart drive. what better way to psych ourselves up for this work than to re-skin this disk drive? only thing we recommend being careful of: pulling the plastic wrap off can generate some pretty serious static. we used our scope (earthed) ground to dissapate as much as we could, and were wary to make sure the plastic, and us, didn't touch any components. whew! we'll start poking at this shortly.
