If you want to run an I2C bus over very long wires, at high speeds, this active terminator could prove very useful! Stick it on the end of your long bus and it will automatically detect when the pullups are activated (e.g. SDA/SCL are floating) and yank them up. You can see here it turns a sawtoothy 800KHz bus into a beautiful square wave! We're gonna try running this over 100ft Ethernet next ...
