Episode 3 is a reading of "cardigan" in relation to the recurring trope of the old piece of clothing in Swift's work, with reference to scholarly work on things: the objective correlative as described by TS Eliot, Jonathan Gil Harris's Untimely Matter in the Time of Shakespeare, Roland Barthes's Camera Lucida, and Bill Brown's "Thing Theory."
