North Belfast-based service provider Steps to Cope - http://stepstocope.co.uk/ - are encouraging young people who live in an environment where parents misuse alcohol to come forward and seek support. Steps to Cope (a support service delivered by local charity ASCERT) works with young people affected by parental drinking. According to the NI Health Department, parental substance misuse affects approximately one in eleven 11-18 year olds in Northern Ireland.
