The issue of counter-terrorism and counter-insurgency has played a 'significant' role within the context of Indonesian security challenges, especially as the 'non-traditional' one. In this podcast, the main discussion revolves around how various presidency tried to pursue wide-ranging approaches which could be disseminated into two main categories; namely the more 'militaristic' tactics and also the more humanistic one. Taking a look at various groups that have emerged within the country, this podcast strives to analyze this issue by taking a look at 3 main theories in the studies of a social movement; namely political discourse analysis, relative deprivation theory, and also resource mobilization theory. This podcast also seeks to explain the various responses from the Indonesian government which has been taken during their policy-making process. Lastly, it also tried to incorporate the concept of 'human security' in order to solve these respective regards more comprehensively.
