Grief is inevitable. Even Jesus said to His disciples, “In this world, you will have trouble.” So, if we are to expect grief, how are we supposed to live with grief? In this series, we will offer a biblical understanding of the practice of lament, as well as opportunities to participate in it on an individual and communal level which will include an experiential Tenebrae gathering on Good Friday. The series will wrap up with a celebration of the new life God promises when we choose to enter into suffering on Easter Sunday.

It is beyond apparent that sexuality plays a major role, not only in American culture, but in christendom as well, whether it is recognized and discussed or not. In this series, Upper Room staff would like to address sexuality as a part of our spiritual lives, to help us move beyond shame and disintegration to a place of wholeness and redemption.
