Dorothy Day was a co-founder of the Catholic Worker Movement, born in 1897 and deceased in 1980. Her movement was instrumental in changing the face of Catholicism in the USA post-World War II. The newspaper she co-founded with Peter Maurin (The Catholic Worker) is still published in New York, 90 years after its debut.
