Pay attention to your environment, your dog's body language, and the body language of other dogs. Have boundaries for your your dog and expectations of other dogs. Stand firm and be your dog's advocate. It is NOT okay to pet random dogs in public. and it is unrealistic if someone tries to sell you the idea that you can have 100% obedience with every dog in every situation under every circumstance. You MUST be responsible for and control your animal and be steadfast when dealing with others' animals.
