Two drivers are being hailed as heroes, after saving an elderly man from his burning home in Bayswater last night.

Amy drove past and noticed the flames coming from the home and stopped to help, rescuing the older man before calling triple-zero.

"A taxi driver and a nurse happened to pull up at the same time as us, they were helping us a bit, my mom and the taxi driver were trying to find the hose and alert the neighbours and me and the nurse were trying to see if anyone was inside," Amy told 6PR Breakfast.
