Associate Professor at Curtains School of Molecular and Life Sciences, Bill Bateman, is calling for a ban on fireworks due to the long term impacts on wildlife. 

Professor Bateman's research highlights how the short bang of fireworks pump 'nasty toxins' into the environment. 

"It can not only have a nasty impact on wildlife, it can also affect our health," Professor Bateman told Millsy and Karl.
