The Premier has tested positive to COVID-19 after a family member had already been infected with the virus.

Mark McGowan announced on Thursday he would continue to work from his Rockingham home in isolation and on Friday confirmed he had the virus.

"I will continue to quarantine and work from home over this period," he said.
